The curse of semi finals!!

All my life,as long as I could remember playing in a tournament I have always gets stuck in semi finals of a football tournament..

Here are the timelines of semifinals.

1)1998(School years): Lost 1-0 to Smileordie fc during the semifinal of I-cant-remember-the-name tournament.

2)2001(College years): Lost 2-0 to Harimau Brantai fc during the semifinal of KYPM's 2001 football tournament.

3)2002(College years): Lost 2-0 to Red Scud fc during the semifinal of KYPM's 2002 football tournament.

4)2009(Working years): Lost 1-0 to MKM fc during the semifinal of KPDNKK's 2010 football tournament.

5)2009(Working years): Lost 4-0 to a Finexys from Sarawak(They have Bobby Pian and Ramles/Ramos Sari in the team!!) during the semifinal of Borneo Cup 2009/2010.

6)2011(Working years): Lost 3-0 to PNS fc during the semifinal of KPDNKK's 2011 football tournament.

Timelines of actually surpassing the semi final curse:

1)2003(College years)-1st Runners up of KYPM's 2002 football tournament.

2)2006(College years)-Champions of MMU's 2006 Interfaculties Cup.

3)2008(College years)-Champions of MMU's 2008 Champions League Cup.

4)2010(Working years): Champions of SSM's 2010 Interdivisons Cup.

And as annoying as it is, today I come to realized that each time the curse befalls on my team is when we tend to underestimate or overestimate our semifinal opponents.

From now on, I shall treat the semifinal's opponent with the same respect I had for the other team during the groups stage.

Not too high but not too low, a normal kind of respect. InsyaAllah, the next time. I shall beat u Semifinals Curse!
